Your new role

Working under the Director of Construction, your day-to-day role will be to take charge of and facilitate Tenant Improvement projects throughout the portfolio. All Commercial office space projects can be as large as a full floor plate renovation or smaller jobs.

In this job you will routinely review site conditions, develop scopes of work, tender and award/engage outside sub trades. You will also manage subcontractors & consultants.

In addition, you will issue PO's and contracts as well as administering those contracts. You will follow projects to be sure they are completed on time and on budget with appropriate level of quality. Working with your internal department you will have assistance as needed.


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this vital role, you should have at least 5+ years of practical experience in a General Contractor environment as either a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager. Self-employed trades experience will also be considered. You must be able to read and interpret drawings as well as have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with trades as well as tenants.

You should also have an In depth knowledge of the construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods, and procedures, building codes, procurement process, safety and management practices. Strong planning, organizational & time management skills.


You must be eligible to obtain a Reliable security clearance with the Canadian Federal Government.
