Our client has an immediate opening for a Technical Solutions Architect to join their Information Systems and Technology team in Vancouver.

The successful candidate will play a key role facilitating the company’s cloud and digital transformation journey. In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical and operational support for various application integrations and databases and play a key role in helping drive the development of IT architecture framework and governance.

This is a technical role and will require hands-on technical knowledge and experience with various Microsoft Azure services such as ETL and API integrations, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Integration Services and Logic Apps.

In addition to the core technical skills, the key capability in this role is the ability to clearly communicate with all areas of the organization, listen, educate, and inform, work closely with the IT/IS team to develop solution architectures for various systems and technologies, while also facilitating their cloud journey, with a focus on friction-free solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on operational support and maintenance of various ETL, System, and API integrations built using Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Integration Services and Logic Apps.
• Support, troubleshoot and analyze business systems, applications and other databases, to resolve complex systems, data management, communication, and interoperating problems.
• Collaborate with various teams to help develop the IT architecture framework and maturity plan.
• Lead the IT architecture and solution design, governance and implementation.
• Design and maintain IT architecture artifacts such as architectural designs, application inventory, application lifecycle roadmaps, and architecture standards.
• Lead the Azure and AWS cloud and network architecture solution design of company’s infrastructure, network and 3rd party systems for Digital, ERP, Business Intelligence, and Reporting platforms.
• Contribute to the creation of a best-in-class Cloud roadmap, and strategies for enterprise adoption.
• As needed, provide senior technical support as required and respond in a professional and timely manner.

Required Knowledge & Skills

5+ years of technology experience, and strong competency in the following areas:
Strong hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, GitHub.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL Servers and Microsoft tools such as SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
Technical experience in the management and maintenance of data warehouse environments and ETL processes.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Industry accredited certification in IT architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Archimate, Zackman Framework, or equivalent.
• Microsoft Certifications like Azure Solution Architect Expert, Data Engineer, and DevOps are an asset.
