Our client, a fast-growing privately-owned organization located in Markham, ON are looking to hire a Senior Property Accountant.

Your new role

The Senior Property Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for full cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of commercial properties. The Senior Property Accountant will prepare monthly financial statements as well as carry out variance analysis and reporting against budgets. The Senior Property Accountant will prepare journal entries as well as CAM/Tax reconciliations and cash flow statements. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for generating monthly rental charges and bank reconciliations.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in the role of Senior Property Accountant, you will need to hold a post-secondary degree in accounting or a related field. The Senior Property Accountant will need to have a minimum 3+ years of experience as a Property Accountant and have exposure to a commercial portfolio of properties. The Senior Property Accountant must have a strong understanding of CAM/Tax Recoveries
