Our client, a well-established, construction-focused business, are looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join their team.

Your new role

The Senior Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while ensuring compliance with contracts and policies. The Senior Project Accountant will support project managers, supervise job cost administrators, prepare financial reports, and improve processes and systems. The Senior Project Accountant will also mentor staff and analyze financial performance to optimize project profitability.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in the role of Senior Project Accountant, you will need to hold a post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting or a related field. The Senior Project Accountant will ideally hold a CPA designation and have at least 3 years of hands-on project accounting experience within the construction industry. The Senior Project Accountant is required to have a strong level of Excel and have experience using an ERP system. The Senior Project Accountant will need excellent communication skills.
