Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a accounting software company located in Toronto, ON. We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst to join their team on a contract basis of 6 months to permanent. This candidate will be working from their Downtown Toronto Office on a hybrid basis (1-2 days in office).

Your new role

• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end reconciliations. You are a key player in the month-end close process
• Assist in the preparation and consolidation of the company's budget and reforecasts, as well as ad-hoc internal schedules.
• Assist in the tie-out of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Assist with interim and year-end financial audits.
• Participate in the cross-training program and support the team as required.
• Participate in the review of internal processes. Make continuous improvements to financial processes.
• Journal entries, closing our books, analysing the P&L, reviewing budgets and reports, variance analysis, following up with in internal stakeholder, balance sheet reconciliations, ad-hoc projects
• Closes the books in 7 Days

What you'll need to succeed

• Must be aQualified CPA with 4-5 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience.
• Superior analytical skills and quick study.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Advanced abilities with Excel.
• Industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Netsuite an asset.
• Ability to work well cross-functionally.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
