Your new role
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for leading the SG&A annual budget and forecast, analyzing monthly activity and variances to budget and forecast, and leading the capital approval process by working closely with Operations Directors and Site Leaders. You will also prepare annual capital budget and cash flow, insurance renewal schedules, and allocate insurance-related costs. You will complete monthly and annual Government reporting for manufacturing and bog sites and be responsible for monthly reporting and analysis. You will prepare and record financial transactions via journal entries, including accruals and recurring entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts to support financial statements. You will have an understanding of multi-currency and multi-company accounting, ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures, and prepare financial management reports as requested. You will comply with relevant laws and regulations and ensure the integrity of financial data. You will meet all financial reporting deadlines and coordinate/manage the company work efforts with Internal Audit, as required, when audits are being conducted.

What you'll need to succeed
The preferred candidate will be working towards or hold a completed CPA designation combined with 3-5+ years related experience. The role requires strong analytical skills, able to effectively communicate with operational teams in the development of their departmental budgets. Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP system are required. You will have a strong understanding of accounting theory (multi-currency experience is a plus). You must be highly organized, accurate and detail oriented. Strong communication skills are required for this highly interactive role.
