Position: Senior Financial Analyst

Salary: $90-100,000 + 10% bonus + Pension(4% personal - company 6%) + 4 weeks + 3 personal days + benefits
Location: Mississauga – Hybrid (first 3 months of employment – 2-3 days p/week in the office, anchor day is Wednesday, after 3 months the role will move to 1-2 days p/week in the office)

Your New Role
Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented financial analyst with a knack for analyzing complex financial data? My client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to aid in decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Some of the key responsibilities include;
- Prepare and analyze financial results and forecasts.
- Validate financial data for completeness and reasonability.
- Prepare financial reports, interpret results, and conduct variance analysis.
- Review actual/forecast P&L with stakeholders and management.
- Execute monthly financial tracking processes and metrics.
- Monitor project financial costs and balance sheet amounts.
- Facilitate management review discussions to support financial decisions.
- Provide data and insights for senior managers and business case analysis.
- Assist in developing the annual operating plan for the client group.
- Support the development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify financial process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts with support from client groups.
- Communicate the impact of business decisions through detailed reports.
- Assist with research activities and month-end/quarterly close processes.
- Prepare monthly management reports and packages.
- Assist in preparing Quarterly Business Review documents.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and policies.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A College diploma or Undergraduate Degree in accounting, financial management, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Preference is given to someone in the final stages or holding a completed CPA designation
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Access, and experience with computerized financial reporting systems and analytical tools including Oracle, ADI, and Prophix.
- Experience with Corporate Performance Management Systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, along with strong presentation skills.
- The ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting stringent deadlines.
