Senior Financial Accountant

Responsibilities:

Year-end audit

  1. Prepare year-end audit files: providing financial statements, reconciliation’s and working papers
  2. Answering auditor’s queries
  3. Assist in preparation of consolidation Financial Statements for Limited Partnership
  4. Prepare tax estimate annually
Budgets:
  1. Initial budget setup using budget proforma
  2. Monthly maintenance and finalizing of construction budgets for an assigned portfolio
  3. Preparation of month end accounts reconciliations as well as intercompany reconciliations
Bank Draws:
  1. Provide information for initial Bank Loan Application
  2. Prepare documents for bank draws monthly
  3. Coordinate with cost consultants, project managers, banks to satisfy all requirements
  4. Responsible for cash management – month end and daily cash requirements
  5. Maintain Banker's acceptance (BA) monthly

Sales:

  1. Maintain sales schedule
  2. Prepare schedule tracking mortgage confirms, deposits, purchase and sale agreements for the banks financing purposes
  3. Responsible for Tarion Registration
  4. Confirm and approve statement of adjustments received from lawyers
  5. Approve upgrade letters sent to Purchasers
  6. Reconciling upgrades/incentives
  7. Follow up with deposits returned/NSF cheques
  8. Prepare and book sales journal
  9. Manage closing funds

General:

  1. Bank reconciliation’s
  2. Preparation of HST returns and analysis of accounts
  3. Answering CRA auditor’s queries
  4. Maintenance of general ledger – reconciliation and analysis of accounts

Requirements:

  1. In progress or completion of University Degree or College Diploma in Finance, Economics or Accounting is required
  2. Must have excellent communication and writing skills
  3. Must have strong work ethic
  4. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills is required
