Your new role

As the Senior Transportation Director, Rail, you will lead and manage the domestic transportation department, focusing on both road and rail logistics across North America. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President and play a critical role in maintaining superior customer service and operational performance during a period of significant growth. Managing the transportation of millions of tons of materials annually from over 40 locations, you will be responsible for optimizing efficiencies in cost, performance, and safety. Your duties will include leading a team of professionals, negotiating with rail service providers, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring effective asset utilization.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain management, and have at least 10 years of logistics experience with a strong focus on railway operations. You will bring a proven track record of senior leadership in fast-paced, high-growth environments, along with excellent decision-making skills, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with railway transport regulations and change management is crucial. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are required, and bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable. Your ability to navigate and thrive in an entrepreneurial setting will be a key asset.
