We are working with a construction company based in Abbotsford searching for a Senior Accountant with an excellent opportunity for growth.

Your new role

Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
Perform bank and visa reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Handle non-progress draw billing, including preparation and submission of invoices.
Enter payroll journal entries into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist the accounts payable team with knowledge and support, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Assist with project accounting tasks, including job costing and month-end.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3 – 5 years’ experience
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
Experience with high volume AR and Project Accounting is desired.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communicator with individuals at all levels within the company.
