    Ottawa. Ideally onsite or Hybrid in Ottawa, but will look at remote in Canada if needed.

Your New Role
As an Application Architect specializing in Mainframe Modernization, you will be instrumental in supporting our client’s NGM Security Resource project. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mainframe security configurations, ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance. This role demands a deep understanding of mainframe environments, security protocols, and modernization strategies, with a focus on integrating legacy systems with modern technologies.


What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Mainframe Security Expertise: Proven experience in mainframe security software and implementation.
  • Security Clearance: Must hold a Government of Canada Secret Clearance.
  • RACF, Top Secret, or ACF2: Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining mainframe security configurations using RACF, Top Secret, or ACF2.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Ability to develop and enforce mainframe security policies and procedures.
  • Security Assessments and Audits: Experience in conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work with development teams, ensuring secure coding practices and mainframe security compliance.
  • Expert Support: Capability to provide expert-level support for mainframe security issues and incidents.
  • Mainframe Modernization: Knowledge of approaches to mainframe modernization, such as rehosting, refactoring, and API enablement.
