Your new role

Reporting directly to the Director, Property Management, the Property Manager is an individual seeking to manage a portfolio comprised of commercial and residential properties. From overseeing the overall performance of the properties and managing Site Teams, the Property Manager is a multi-faceted leader of all operations and financial activities.
As a manager, your responsibilities include supervising site staff, recruiting and training personnel, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, evaluating staff performance using Dayforce, and developing and training team members on digital tenant platforms. Operationally, you conduct property inspections, implement preventive maintenance programs, and promote sustainable practices. You ensure accurate reporting, review leasing activity, control costs, and monitor purchasing. Additionally, you prepare budgets, manage tenant improvement projects, liaise with asset managers, and conduct market surveys to adjust rents and maximize revenue.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Property Manager, with a preference for post-secondary education. They must be knowledgeable about provincial legislation, commercial leases, building systems, and maintenance programs. Excellent English communication skills, strong prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, are essential. Familiarity with Yardi and financial reporting is beneficial. Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills are required, and a BCFSA Property Management License is mandatory.
