A well-established real estate firm, located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, is looking for a Property Accountant to join the team.

Your new role

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties

• Prepare and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of monthly financial reports.

• Record accruals and adjust journal entries; support year-end closing procedures and audits.

• Maintain accurate tenant records by reviewing and posting rent rolls, and processing monthly Pre-Authorized Payments (PAPs)

• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts for properties

• Work closely with property managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or related field

• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting position with a preference for residential property experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP

• Proficiency in accounting software with a preference for Yardi

• Eager to learn and continuous development mindset

• Excellent communicator and ability to work in cross-functioning teams
