Your new role

Your new company is seeking experienced Architects with a project management background and an interest in tenant improvement and interior projects to join their team. In this role, you will lead various projects, collaborate with Interior Designers, and manage the preparation of Building Permit drawings and documents. You will also perform Building Code and Zoning Bylaw reviews, coordinate consultants, and oversee the preparation of Tender and Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Documents. Additionally, you will manage projects during the Tender and Construction Contract Administration phases and support the training of architects, interns, and designers.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in Canada
  • Registration with the AIBC as a Registered Architect AIBC
  • Advanced experience in the technical aspects of architectural projects on Tenant Improvement
  • Experience in the preparation of specifications
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Thorough understanding of BC building code, Vancouver Building Bylaw, and Municipal Zoning Bylaws
  • Extensive experience in the Construction Contract Administration phase and performing Field Reviews
  • Extensive experience in understanding and coordinating engineering drawings
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills\
