Hays has partnered with an integrated local firm who are looking for a Project Architect to join their Calgary team. This award winning firm is made up of architects, interior designers and engineers with a common mind set to create resilient and inspiring environments for the communities they work within. Specialising in a diverse range of projects, including multifamily (mid & high rise), mountain retreats, and commercial developments across Alberta, they are renowned for their innovative designs and commitment to sustainability. *this is a hybrid role, 2 days a week from home

Your new role

In your role, you will be playing an integral part in the success of the firm, through effective project leadership, innovative ideas, and nurturing of established relationships. You will be responsible for leading and managing the design and construction of multiple commercial, high-rise and mountain projects, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other team members. You will prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, and timelines, ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance, manage project teams, and ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently, and provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed. You will also ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have a professional degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university. Ideally you will possess 8-15 years of local experience and have previous experience working on various project types including multifamily, high-rise experience is strongly preferred. You will be proficient with the following platforms: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up. You will have excellent verbal and written communication – with the ability to develop strong relationships with clients (internal & external). You will possess sound knowledge of local buildings codes and bylaws. Registration, LEED & PMP Certification are a bonus but not a requirement.

What you'll get in return

The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $90,000 - $110,000 + RRSP, extended benefits and hybrid work environment.
