Pricing Supervisor For 6-Month Contract to Permanent Hire in Calgary

Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a large distribution company based in Calgary, AB. We are seeking a Pricing Supervisor to join their team for a contract for permanent opportunity, starting immediately. This position is full-time hours and fully in office.

Your new role

You will be reporting to the pricing manager and supervise a small team of 4-5 staff members and ensure pricing operations are running smoothly. Duties include the following:
  • Formulate pricing models and strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive
  • Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to stay informed of industry trends and pricing movements.
  • Track and analyze pricing metrics to ensure strategies are effective and adjust as needed.
  • Oversee and approve pricing adjustments based on market conditions, inventory levels, and business objectives.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on pricing decisions, performance, and outcomes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on pricing strategies, analysis techniques, and best practices.
  • Ensure pricing systems and tools are up-to-date and functioning properly for accurate price setting and reporting.
  • Ensure all pricing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and communicating with different departments

What you'll need to succeed

A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
At least 10 years of experience in a similar industry.
A degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Business).
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Great communication and organizational abilities
