Our client, a renown retail company, has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join their team and support the Payroll Director in overseeing the payroll operations for 28,000 employees across Canada. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for both salaried and hourly employees.

Your new role

Reporting to the Payroll Director, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for the payroll function supporting over 28,000 employees across Canada. Leading a fast-growing team, the Payroll Manager will participate in the implementation of best practices and ensure the processing of various payroll-related activities within the established deadlines:

• Manage and lead a team of 4 payroll technicians.
• Oversee the full cycle payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review payroll data and address any discrepancies.
• Handle special projects related to payroll and compensation.
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline payroll operations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in full cycle payroll processing, ideally 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and compliance.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience with SAP
