Opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join a well-known Vancouver-based Company!

Your new role

You will be joining an existing Operations team to ensure commercial properties are maintained to a high standard. You will be reporting to the Director of Commercial Property Management and oversee 3 Building Operators. The ideal candidate will be willing to be hands-on as needed as well as have experience in a leadership capacity on commercial properties. As the department grows, there may be an opportunity for growth on this team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Organize, schedule, and supervise maintenance programs for the buildings and equipment.
  • Perform inspections and follow up with contractors on preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure building systems equipment, HVAC, Boilers, Chillers and Cooling Towers, and DDC, operate optimally.
  • Supervise other Building Operators as well as delegate and schedule, mentor and train.
  • Ensure compliance with local and company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Support property management team in obtaining quotes, scheduling contractors, and dealing with purchase orders.
  • Provide input to project management: project / capital planning, forecasting, budgeting.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Must have a vehicle and driver's license.
  • Ability to work on call on a rotation basis.
  • Strong knowledge & experience in mechanical, electrical, boiler, HVAC, fire, and DDC systems.
  • Experience with Yardi is an asset.
  • Experience as an Operations Supervisor / Lead Building Operator.
  • 4th or 5th class power engineering ticket is preferred but not required.
