You will be joining a privately owned real estate development and property management company with over 40 years of experience in land development and property management. Their core assets include high-quality industrial, office, medical, and retail properties, comprising over 6.7 million square feet, all strategically located throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions.

Your new role

Responsible for overseeing and managing the Property Maintenance Representatives and Coordinators, including coaching and developing staff, facilitating the annual performance management process, and overseeing procurement processes for maintenance activities and contractor practices. Frequently visit sites to ensure properties are safely and aesthetically maintained, tenant needs are addressed, and the Corporate Health & Safety Program is implemented and reviewed. Ensure the Property Maintenance Team performs regular maintenance and inspections of common areas and vacant units, maintains high curb appeal, monitors and maintains base building systems, and completes service requests to appropriate standards. Develop and maintain a training matrix for direct reports.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have 3+ years' experience as an Operations Manager or Facilities Manager overseeing commercial, industrial or institutional properties. You will possess the ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and work with management to initiate appropriate actions. Provide excellent internal and external customer service, be available for on-call duties during evenings and weekends, and present yourself in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times. Comply with the Employee Handbook, be proactive and assertive with assigned properties, complete tasks by deadlines, and liaise with trades and contractors for necessary repairs and services.

What you'll get in return

You will receive compensation with an annual base salary ranging from $105,000 - $125,000 + Bonus + Benefits + RRSP.
