Your New Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainability and decarbonization initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the design and implementation of sustainable mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects
  • Developing and executing strategies for energy efficiency, decarbonization, and renewable energy integration
  • Conducting energy audits, feasibility studies, and lifecycle assessments to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of sustainable solutions
  • Preparing detailed technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and energy models
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to sustainability and energy
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff
  • Engaging with clients to understand their sustainability goals and deliver tailored solutions
  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in sustainability, decarbonization, and energy technologies
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Ontario
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on sustainability, decarbonization, and energy
  • Proven experience in the commercial and institutional sectors
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and EnergyPlus
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability standards and certifications (e.g., LEED)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team
