Linux Administrator

Role: Linux Server Administrator
Working organization: Full Remote (but able to work on PST hours)
Contract: ASAP + 1-YEAR CONTRACT
Location: Canada


Your new role
As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux system servers, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. You will leverage your expertise in virtualization technologies, hyperscalers, and automation tools to support our enterprise-scale infrastructure. Your role will also involve documenting processes, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and contributing to the overall success of our IT operations.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Linux System Server Administration: Expert level experience with OS versions, lifecycle management, and enterprise-scale environments.
  • Virtualization Technology: Expert level proficiency in VMWare or similar technologies.
  • Hyperscalers: Moderate to expert level experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other hyperscaler technologies.
  • Ansible/Terraform: Expert level proficiency in automation tools.
  • Storage Technologies: Moderate experience with SAN and other storage solutions.
  • Documentation: Moderate to expert level skills in maintaining SOPs.
  • Communication: Expert level ability to clearly communicate with leadership, colleagues, and customers.
  • Python/PowerShell: Practical to fundamental knowledge.
  • Database Platforms: Moderate experience relevant to Windows Server and Linux Server support.
  • Networking: Moderate ability to perform firewall and fundamental network troubleshooting.
  • Security and Identity (AAA): Moderate to expert level knowledge in authentication, authorization, and accounting.
