Hays is proud to partner once again with a key account. This established and reputable employer specializes in developing and consequently managing retail properties (such as closed & strip malls). Together, we are seeking an experienced leasing professional to join their team.


Your new role

  • Responsible for the strategic leasing and merchandising of a specific portfolio of shopping centres;

  • In collaboration with the Director, Leasing and under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Leasing, manage the rent roll and objectives for the assigned portfolio;

  • Maintain a daily log of calls and leasing requests;

  • In collaboration with the Director, Leasing and under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Leasing, negotiate and sign lease agreements, lease offers, letters of intent, lease renewals and amendments;

  • Manage financing deadlines and criteria in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Leasing;

  • Monitor centre lease deadlines and be proactive in planning for upcoming deadlines;

  • Manage updates to centre information (text, site plans, images) in our portfolio and website with the Leasing Coordinator and Graphic Designer;

  • Prepare newsletters with the Marketing Department;

  • Establish good relationships and maintain ongoing contact with brokers, tenants and potential tenants;

  • Participate in the preparation of monthly reports for management;

  • Participate in the preparation of trade shows;

  • Other related tasks.


What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 3 years in an A-Z leasing position for a commercial portfolio;

  • A minimum of 1 year for leasing retail properties;

  • Proficiency in French & English (written/oral);

  • Excellent negotiation and communication capabilities, problem-solver, proactive, and autonomous;

  • Ability to meet deadlines;

  • Own a vehicle & have a valid driver's license;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
