Leasing Agent | Residential Real Estate | Downtown Montreal

Hays Property & Real Estate is proud to partner with a Quebec leading landlord, operator and developer of commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate who are currently in search of a Residential Property Manager for a portfolio spanning the greater Montreal area. Our client offers a range of carefully selected residential properties in prime locations and looking to add more!


Your new role
As leasing agent, you will be responsible for answering leads and sourcing prospective tenants with the goal of maximizing conversions to signed leases for available rental units. Responsibilities include managing requests for rentals, conducting administrative tasks like applications, credit checks, organizing payments and lease documents. A good leasing agent will have a firm knowledge of the community surrounding the property and find creative ways to maintain a high level of occupancy and a satisfied tenant base.


  • Prepare properties for rent to show prospective tenants;
  • Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner (within 24 hours);
  • Maintain close contact with prospects through follow-ups with the goal of first booking a tour and then signing a lease;
  • Give tours of open listings;
  • If rental units are not yet constructed, being capable of using virtual tools to pre-lease;
  • Portray the property and amenities in a positive fashion;
  • Ensure rental availability and photography or unit plans are always up to date online;
  • Use a variety of methods to advertise rental properties;
  • Determine the needs of potential tenants;
  • Maintain working knowledge of the property market;
  • Maintain vigilance of competing properties (prices and promotions);
  • Propose ways to maximise revenues for the owners;
  • Ensure the property is well-maintained;
  • Process applications and documents for head office approval;
  • Collect and organize important documents and payments;
  • Entering all contact points and tenant information into the CRM;
  • Maintain clean dashboard with all lead management;
  • Providing accurate weekly reports of all leasing activity.


What you need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have at least 2 years of experience in leasing, and have excellent communication, self starter, passion for real estate, possess excellent customer service skills, are tech savy, and bilingual (FR/EN).


What you'll get in return
