Hays Real Estate is proud to partner with a major owner, operator, and developer of commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate in Quebec, currently seeking a leasing agent for a new development in Terrebonne. Our client offers a range of carefully selected residential properties in prime locations and is looking to add more!
Your New Role
As a leasing agent, you will be responsible for responding to leads and finding potential tenants to maximize conversions into signed leases for available rental units. Responsibilities include managing rental inquiries, performing administrative tasks such as applications, credit checks, organizing payments, and lease documents. A good leasing agent will have a deep knowledge of the surrounding community and find creative ways to maintain high occupancy levels and a satisfied tenant base.
  • Prepare properties for showing to potential tenants;
  • Respond to all calls and emails in a timely manner (within 24 hours);
  • Maintain close contact with prospects through follow-ups to first book a visit and then sign a lease;
  • Conduct open house tours;
  • If rental units are not yet built, be able to use virtual tools to pre-lease;
  • Present the property and amenities positively;
  • Ensure rental availability and photos or plans of units are always up to date online;
  • Use a variety of methods to advertise rental properties;
  • Determine the needs of potential tenants;
  • Maintain knowledge of the real estate market;
  • Monitor competing properties (prices and promotions);
  • Propose ways to maximize revenue for owners;
  • Ensure the property is well-maintained;
  • Process applications and documents for approval by headquarters;
  • Collect and organize important documents and payments;
  • Enter all tenant contact points and information into the CRM;
  • Maintain a clean dashboard with all lead management;
  • Provide accurate weekly reports of all leasing activity.
What You Need to Succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have at least 2 years of leasing experience, excellent communication skills, initiative, a passion for real estate, excellent customer service skills, proficiency in technology, and be bilingual (FR/EN).
What You Will Get in Return
The successful candidate will receive a base salary of up to $60,000 (depending on experience), commissions, 3 weeks of vacation, full benefits, a car allowance, and the opportunity to join an experienced real estate group with excellent opportunities for professional growth.
