Your new role

As an Intern Architect, you will report to the Project Architect and play a crucial role in the design team. You will help research and prepare architectural drawings using specialized drafting software. Your responsibilities will include producing architectural documentation for all project phases, developing detailed sketches, designing in accordance with applicable codes and ordinances, and using appropriate graphic and modelling techniques to communicate solutions. Additionally, you will conduct site visits, manage client communications, oversee sub-consultants, and coordinate with local authorities during the permitting process.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and 5 to 10 years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You should have a strong knowledge of wood construction, architectural design documentation, building materials and codes, and construction techniques. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Knowledge of Rhino and rendering with Vray is an asset. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and high activity periods without compromising quality.
