Role: IT Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-time Permanent – on-site role
Location: Kanata, ON (majority on-site role)
Salary: $125k – 150k + benefits

The Role:
A leading automotive parts retailer is seeking a dynamic IT Operations Manager to oversee its growing technology needs. This role involves managing a small in-house IT team and external contractors, ensuring the IT infrastructure aligns with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• IT Operations & Infrastructure: Manage network architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), server management, and data security. Ensure system scalability and performance.
• Team & Vendor Management: Lead an IT team of 8, manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLAs are met.
• Cloud Systems & Cybersecurity: Optimize cloud systems, implement cybersecurity protocols, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Project Management: Oversee IT projects, including cloud migrations and software development, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
• Software & Systems Management: Ensure the performance and integration of enterprise systems like Salesforce, NetSuite ERP, and TalkDesk.
• Budgeting: Develop and manage the IT budget, report on financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in IT operations management, with strong expertise in cloud systems, cybersecurity, and vendor management.
• Experience managing small IT teams and external contractors, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Proven ability to lead software development projects and manage enterprise systems (Salesforce, NetSuite ERP, Manhattan Scale).
• Strong background in developing KPIs, metrics reporting, and managing IT budgets.
• Can be a hands-on leader with the ability to manage day-to-day operations while thinking strategically about long-term technology needs.
• Expert in people management, including managing small teams and outside contractors, with a focus on fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
• Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple complex projects while maintaining high standards of performance.
• Vendor management expert, skilled at negotiating contracts and driving vendor performance.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
