Your new role

  • Advise managers on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Lead the awareness of policies, procedures, and programs and their effect on employee engagement and retention
  • Administer exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and opportunities for improvement
  • Serve as a front line resource for responding to and solving employee concerns and providing coaching
  • Partner with internal customers to improve the capability of the human resources department to respond to their needs
  • Responsible for HR SharePoint and Intranet page
  • Assist with salary administration and performance management topics
  • Prepare and maintain employee handbooks, ensuring compliance and updating as needed.
  • In collaboration with the HR Manager & line managers, they assist with the recruitment and selection processes, including updating position descriptions, preparing postings, screening resumes.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable legislation including employment standards and OH&S
  • Support and promote corporate objectives and act as a resource for management and associates.
  • Serve as backup to HR Coordinator for HR related administrative duties such as payroll and systems maintenance
  • Administers the company’s fleet vehicles including vehicle assignments, credit cards, maintenance, leasing and year-end taxable benefit reporting.
  • Address employees’ HR or Payroll related questions and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working within an ISO Certified company is an asset.
  • Knowledge of HR-related laws and regulations is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bilingualism in English & French is a requirement.
