Your new role

As part of the Americas People and Culture Team, the Head of Human Resources Canada will be a Human Resources Business Partner supporting our Canadian business and acting as a trusted advisor to the Canadian leadership team.

This role will be both hands-on and strategic, providing human resource leadership in the development and implementation of HR strategies that foster growth, innovation and organizational effectiveness. The individual in this role must first understand the business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business. The HRBP will assess capability and needs in the areas of leadership & management development, career development, performance management, employee relations, and drive appropriate solutions in these areas. This position will continuously challenge the status quo and develop initiatives that will ensure Hays continues to be the Employer of Choice.

What you'll need to succeed

Hays looks for individuals who can think strategically as well as roll up their sleeves and dive deep into practical application. This role will require the ability to establish local HR priorities that are aligned to the regional strategic P&C plan. You must be able to interface with leaders at all levels through excellent communication skills, data-driven analytical thinking and ability to perform in a fast-paced, rigorous and ambiguous environment.

  • P&C Collaboration: Work with various HR teams to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership to inform business decisions.
