Your new role

As a Project Manager you will oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring they meet cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contract performance standards. You will prepare and submit project estimates, negotiate scope changes, and establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with company policies and contract specifications. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders, including team members, clients, consultants, partners, trades, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and the community, is crucial. You will keep them informed of relevant information throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities include planning, monitoring, and managing construction schedules and milestones, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and contract requirements. You will monitor and report on progress, labor productivity, work outcomes, budget, costs, and forecasts. Additionally, you will prepare contracts, negotiate revisions, and address areas of risk, ensuring material and equipment availability for trades persons. Completing monthly cost forecasting and checklists accurately and on time, as well as producing accurate weekly productivity reports, are also key duties

What you'll need to succeed

Previous utilities experience is needed - with a combination of Project Management and Estimation experience. Experience with medium and high voltage utility work, roadway lighting, traffic signals and substations is considered an asset. Education in Electrical Engineering or Construction Engineering required. Accubid experience required.
