Your New Role:
As a Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical projects from inception to completion. This role involves meticulous planning, execution, and finalization of projects within set deadlines and budget constraints. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive project plans, scheduling tasks, and managing budgets. In this role, you will ensure that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Additionally, you will manage resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure project efficiency and quality. You will liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and address any issues that arise. You will also be responsible for conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications. Furthermore, you will provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This includes mentoring team members, setting performance expectations, and ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals. As the Project Manager, you must be adept at problem-solving and decision-making, capable of navigating challenges and providing guidance to your team.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
To excel in this role, you will need a keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities. You must thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. An in-depth understanding of electrical and construction practices, coupled with extensive experience in these fields, is essential. You should possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, and be proficient with software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Familiarity with electrical project management best practices and experience managing construction projects from start to finish are crucial. Additionally, experience with high-rise residential projects, as well as concrete and wood frame buildings, is required. You should also have the ability and willingness to act as a mentor and exemplify strong leadership qualities. Finally, hands-on experience in construction and a background of working on the tools is a valuable asset for this role.
