Your new role

We are looking for a senior operational manager to join this well-established team. Ideally, a dynamic individual to enhance team cohesion and drive corporate policy compliance within the project management and estimating teams. This role is pivotal in establishing internal training programs and collaborating with HR to monitor and track assessments and training sessions. You will evaluate project managers and estimators to ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards, particularly in the use of the latest software. Additionally, you will train and mentor PMs on Job Status Reports and other documentation, oversee compliance with Estimating and Project Management policies, and review these policies and processes for relevance and improvement opportunities. Streamlining processes and working closely with the team to stay abreast of industry best practices, trends, regulations, and risks are essential responsibilities. Travel will be required.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have an educational background in one of the following: Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree, or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate. You will have 10+ years of experience in Electrical Project Management and/or estimating. Proven experience in a leadership role – ability to mentor, coach and lead others.
