We are seeking a seasoned Senior Property Manager in Ottawa

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Property Manager to oversee the operations of a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in property management, including experience in financial management, tenant relations, and property maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Oversight:
  • Develop and implement strategic property management plans.
  • Monitor property performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple properties.
  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, income statements, and balance sheets.
    • Monitor property expenses and revenue.
    • Implement cost-saving measures and strategies to optimize property performance.

  • Tenant Relations:
    • Build strong relationships with tenants and address their concerns and needs.
    • Enforce lease terms and resolve tenant disputes.
    • Oversee tenant screening, lease renewals, and lease terminations.

  • Property Maintenance:
    • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee repairs and renovations.
    • Monitor property condition and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, hire, and train property management staff.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the property management team.
    • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in property management, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, Buildium).
Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with commercial property management.
  • Knowledge of real estate law and regulations.
  • Certification in property management (CPM, RPM).
