Your new role
As a DevOps Engineer (Data Semantics), you create chemistry by…
• Managing and enhancing the BASF semantics platform and service stack
• Participating in the development and maintenance of various backend APIs
• Assisting with the integration and migration efforts across different systems such as: observability tools, streaming services, and version control systems
• Contributing to the implementation of an ontology editing tool.

What you'll need to succeed
• A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC: Terraform, Ansible) as well as experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment methodologies using platforms like GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, AirFlow.
• Strong skills in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment while adapting to a fast-paced and dynamic workplace with a proactive and self-driven attitude.
• Knowledge of semantic web technologies and concepts, including ontologies and knowledge graphs (RDF, OWL), graph databases (Virtuoso, Fuseki, Neo4J), and their query languages (SPARQL, Cypher) would be considered very-nice-to-have.
