A dynamic and innovative leader in HVAC Industry, with a strong presence in North America and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our accounting team.

Your new role

The Canada Country Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable local regulations. The position will report directly to the North America Controller with dotted line reporting to the Director of Finance (Calgary). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and public company accounting.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with U.S. GAAP relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing financial reporting and compliance within a public company environment.
  • Strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation, and change management skills with the ability to lead and communicate effectively at various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Disciplined self-starter with excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to work independently, confidentially and with limited direction.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software; proficiency in Hyperion Financials, INFOR VISUAL Manufacturing is a plus.
