Our client, a large well established real estate business in Woodbridge, ON, are looking to hire for a Corporate Controller.

Your new role

The Corporate Controller will have a wide range of duties and work closely with the VP Finance. The Controller will manage corporate finance, including ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting, preparing financial statements, and facilitating audit processes. The Controller will handle treasury operations, managing tax compliance, and coordinating payroll administration. Additionally, the Controller will lead and develop the corporate finance team to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. The Controller will manage the full cycle of corporate accounting, tracking fund-related transactions, and handling various corporate finance activities such as HST returns and intercompany reconciliations.

What you'll need to succeed

The suitable candidate is required to hold a post-secondary degree in an Accounting or similar field as well as being a CPA holder. The Controller will need to have a minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a large organization and have at least 2 years within the real estate industry. The Controller will need to be a strong people manager and ideally have exposure to Yardi software.
