An established and successful construction firm in Calgary is seeking it's next Chief Financial Officer.

Your new role

Working closely with the owners of the business, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance at the company and will handle traditional controller duties as well as CFO tasks. Duties will include:

- reconciling bank accounts(s)
- managing credit card balances
- managing funding requirements between companies
- reconciling fixed assets and maintaining depreciation schedules
- monitoring accounts / variance analysis
- journal entries as required
- maintaining i/c balances
- managing cash flow Manage A/R & A/P efforts
- approve bill payments semi-monthly
- IT liaison with 3rd party consultant - manage systems design on
scheduling/project management software
- maintaining op/cap lease schedules
- monthly management of consolidated statements, budget, forecast
- support to owners on legal matters
- completes year-end working papers for review engagements with an accounting firm
- lead on bank facility negotiations

What you'll need to succeed

- Hold a CPA designation, with CGA Legacy preferred

- Solid experience managing finances for a mid-sized construction company

- Expert in job costing with proven strategies in metrics for hourly rate calculations

- Expert in Excel

- Expert in QuickBooks Desktop

- Fluent in Word - Fluent in OneDrive / Network systems
