Your new role

  • Internal contact for customers in the defined account package (typically tier C&D)
  • Applying consultative selling approaches/techniques to establish the needs of the customer to apply the appropriate solution to products and services
  • Customer interactions primarily by phone and email
  • Time to time, in person customer meetings, as needed (1-2 days per month)
  • Supporting activities specific to reactivation of inactive accounts, increasing new customers and cross-selling of current customers in conjunction with the Sales Development Rep team
  • Account portfolio development to drive to target
  • Handling of RFQs, Opportunities, Quotes, Orders and active follow up of same
  • Transition between Regional Sales Manager and Project Sales Manager for larger projects uncovered through scouting
  • Understanding the customer needs and requirements, including technical and commercial clarifications
  • Define and complete negotiations as required and within your own responsibility
  • Maintenance of the customer master data
  • Manages complaint management with own portfolio
  • Preparation and submission to the customer any other materials requested
  • Promotes and supports customers with any online inquiries.
  • Any other duties as assigned

What you'll need to succeed

  • Post-secondary technical education in engineering, instrumentation, process control, automation, or electronics
  • 2–3 years of Inside Sales experience in the Instrumentation field or a similar role is desired
  • Excellent communication skills to work well with diverse individuals, groups and with internal & external customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Comfortable making own decisions at a transactional level with customers
  • Bilingual (French / English) is an asset.
