They're a successful operation that doesn't do traditional cookie cutter projects. This is a Mat leave coverage that could turn into a permanent fulltime position next year.

Your new role

In this job you will collaborate with the Estimating team to prepare detailed cost estimates for various ICI construction projects. You will analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, assemble and submit comprehensive bid packages and identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in bids.
Also, you will maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods, develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and participate in bid review meetings and present estimates to senior management.:

What you'll need to succeed

For this role you should have at least 3–5 years of experience in ICI construction estimating, ideally in the Ottawa/National Capital Region. You must have strong knowledge of the Ottawa construction industry and the proven ability to prepare accurate and competitive bid packages. You must be IT savvy, especially with MS Office suite of products. Additionally, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
