You will be joining a real estate investment and development group based in Oakville. Their portfolio includes commercial, industrial, and residential projects, with a current pipeline exceeding $1.5 billion. They are a vertically integrated, managing the entire development process, from acquisitions and land entitlement to design, construction, and property management.

Your new role

You will join the property management team in being responsible for 1 retail shopping centre in Oakville. You will coordinate maintenance tasks such as landscaping, garbage removal, painting, unclogging drains, repairing minor leaks, replacing lightbulbs, and diagnosing electrical or mechanical issues to keep the shopping centre in good repair and attractive to the public. You will manage service contracts for roofing, snow removal, and HVAC to ensure quality service and timely repairs, proactively identify potential issues, and take preventive measures to mitigate risks. You will develop and maintain good relationships with staff, tenants, and the community, provide exceptional customer service, follow-up on repair quality, and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

What you'll need to succeed

You have 3+ years' of experience in property maintenance and building management, with an educational designation such as BES or trade certification being an asset. You possess excellent people, organization, and problem-solving skills. You thrive in dynamic and time-sensitive situations and will work in an environment that encourages initiative and idea-sharing.
