Your new role
The Bilingual Business & Legal Affairs Specialist will play a crucial role in the company's legal and business operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal reviews, redlining, reviewing and drafting various contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, statements of work, and distribution agreements.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable federal and provincial regulations.
- Providing legal support and guidance on contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Proofreading, editing, and fact-checking legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Monitoring tender websites for Requests for Proposals (RFP/RFQ/RFI) and coordinating with sales, marketing, and project management teams for timely submissions.
- Preparing tender submissions, ensuring complete and accurate documentation, and meeting deadlines.
This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days of in-office presence in Mississauga.
What you'll need to succeed
- Post-secondary education and a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in tender and contracts.
- 3+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably with contract law and tenders (RFP/RFQ/RFI).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong command of both English and French.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset.
