Your new role

• Responsible for daily outputs, such as transaction processing and recording, government remittances, account analysis and reconciliations, variance investigations and analysis, and peer reviews

• Prepare and develop new financial and management reporting, analytical commentary, and ad hoc analysis as required by management and stakeholders

• Research and investigate accounting and operational issues

• Participate and support efforts related to preparation of financial statements and schedules, including supporting working papers, for audit purposes

• Participate in finance and company projects and initiatives (e.g. quality and efficiency improvements)

• Use knowledge and expertise to promote financial understanding across the organization

What you'll need to succeed

• Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience

• Understanding specific financial or accounting systems for planning, reporting and analysis

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Power BI and IBM Cognos software preferred

• Experience in the public sector is an asset
