Assistant Manager-Property Management

Hays Recruitment has partnered with our client in Saskatoon, who are presently seeking an Assistant Manager in Property Management to join their team to assist with managing a busy shopping mall.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be responsible reporting to the General Manager about the day to day running of Property Management.

Responsibilities
  • Tenant liaison and front-line coordination of day-to-day tenant requests and follow up in a timely and professional manner;
  • Administration of rent collection, including facilitation of tenant notices, rental postings, A/R reporting and follow up, tenant invoicing and issuance of notifications as required;
  • Administration and management of the Centre’s Rent Rolls and Tenant insurance compliance;
  • Administration and facilitation of corporate procurement process, including Vendor set up, insurance/WCB monitoring; posting of expenditures, development of RFPs, contractor monitoring and contract preparation and review;
  • Administration and management of the Centre’s utility registry;
  • Administration and management of the Tenant Welcome Program, including enrollment of Tenant’s in corporate electronic payment options;
  • Assist in the delivery of the Centre’s short-term leasing and licensing programs;
  • Manage maintenance and repairs within budget along with any approved capital spending for all assigned properties;
  • Assist Leasing Manager, Asset Manager with leasing efforts to help plan renewals or re-leasing to ensure optimal rental income;
  • Assist Development Manager or lead construction relating to Landlord and Tenant Work;
  • Always seek value-add opportunities at the properties;
  • Maintain excellent client, owner and tenant relations;
  • Maintain excellent external and internal relations;
  • Perform regular property inspections;
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of the financial position of properties, including assisting in preparing monthly reports including operations narrative, variance report, aged receivable report and leasing report;
  • Assist in cash flow management;
