Hiring a Property Accountant for a 2-6-month contract in Calgary

Your new company

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Property Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, in-office position, providing essential accounting support for a 2-6-month contract covering employee leave. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of accounting experience, preferably in the property industry.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Handle GST preparation and filings
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Manage monthly rent rolls
  • Assist in balance sheet reconciliations

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum
    1 year of accounting experience, ideally in property management or a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
