Your new role

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Lead Hand / Warranty Technician with extensive experience in multi-family construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), addressing and resolving warranty-related deficiencies, and providing exceptional customer service to our homeowners. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards. In addition to general warranty technician duties, the Lead Hand aspect of this role will require the individual to provide guidance and support to junior technicians, and to liaise with trades and project managers.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential construction, with a focus on communities, singles and attached projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, OBC and standards.
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act and Tarion requirements.
  • Proficiency in a variety of trades, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing and electrical.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Personal tools and license with vehicle.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Computer literacy.
