HAYS in Ottawa is hiring for a Property / Leasing Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Administrator to support the daily operations of our property management team. This role includes leasing administration responsibilities, ensuring efficient management of tenant relations, lease agreements, and property maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and experience in property administration and leasing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage lease agreements, renewals, and terminations. Ensure all lease documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests promptly.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant property management regulations and company policies.
- Facilitate effective communication between tenants, property management team, and service providers.
- Prepare regular reports on property status, tenant issues, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property administration and leasing.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in property management or real estate is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in property management software and financial management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Office setting within the property management office. Occasional travel may be required for property inspections and meetings.
- Full-time position with flexibility to respond to tenant needs outside of regular working hours.
