Architectural Project Manager Role

My client, a distinguished home builder in the Hamilton region, is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join their team. Renowned for their innovative approach to the new home industry, they design high-quality homes that provide an exceptional lifestyle for residents and add significant value to their communities.

Your new role

As an Architectural Project Manager, you will:

  • Conduct product and material research, including cost analysis and sustainability considerations.
  • Stay updated on industry styles and trends.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and municipal staff.
  • Review and compile design documents, site plans, and zoning by-laws.
  • Prepare architectural zoning summaries and coordinate reports impacting project design.
  • Manage design development plans, working drawings, and permit applications.
  • Coordinate sales office drawings and marketing materials.
  • Provide technical support to the design centre and manage lot-specific structural sign-offs.
  • Oversee site plan and budget tender drawings.
  • Manage final tender drawings and building permit processes.
  • Coordinate issued-for-construction drawings and site visits.
  • Maintain knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances, and industry regulations.
  • Manage architectural documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend industry seminars and webinars.
  • Driver’s license and vehicle required for permit submissions and site visits.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5-10+ years of prior experience in a similar role is required.
  • Proven experience in project management or coordination, preferably at another home builder.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Project Management software.
  • A valid driver's licence and vehicle.

What you'll get in return

A competitive compensation package which includes a salary, negotiable based on experience, between $85k-$95k + 3 weeks' vacation + 6 personal/sick days + holiday closures, basic health, vision and dental benefits and a hybrid work model (4 days per week in office).
