Are you meticulous and organized? Would you like to work in a professional and dynamic environment? We are currently looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our client's team, a renowned real estate investment fund.

Your new role

Reporting to the local General Management and the international Financial Management, your main task will be to support the Group in the accounting and financial tasks of the Canadian and US companies.

Main tasks:

Accounting management
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, both individual and consolidated, cash flow statements and associated notes
  • Analyze accounts, by Canadian and US standards
  • Record and control supplier invoices
  • Reconcile supplier accounts
  • Record banking transactions
  • Produce financial reporting
Taxation
  • In collaboration with the international team and local firms, prepare tax returns (income and GST/QST).
  • Analyze statements
  • Calculate and analyze the tax result
Billing
  • Invoice tenants in accordance with the specifics from the development department
  • Follow up on payments
Treasury
  • Plan and monitor cash flow
  • Prepare and/or supervise payments by transfers
Financial analysis
  • Prepare management reports, including the analysis of financial results/budgets, performance measures, and benchmarks
  • Create reports for management (various analyzes)
  • Support Management in the execution of routine tasks and/or special projects

What you'll need to succeed

You are:
  • Meticulous and dedicated to what you undertake.
  • Comfortable speaking and writing, bilingual in French and English
  • Autonomous, while having a team spirit and collaboration
You have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or finance or a graduate diploma in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial functions, ideally in an accounting firm
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax rules applicable to Canadian and American companies; knowledge of cross-border structures with Luxembourg would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in the main functions of Excel and experience using accounting software; proficiency in Sage 100 would be an asset.
  • Good organizational and precision skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
