A large and reputable Canadian company in the oil and gas industry is seeking to hire a contract analyst for a 6-month contract.
Your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract analysis within the mining, oil, or gas industry. This is a full-time, 6-month contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance and business needs. As a Contract Analyst, you will play a critical role in reviewing, analyzing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance and optimize contract performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities within contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, procurement, and finance, to provide contract-related insights and support.
- Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation and records.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Assist in the negotiation and drafting of contract amendments and renewals.
- Provide guidance and support on contract-related issues to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on contract status and performance metrics.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3 years of contract experience within the mining, oil, or gas industry.
- Contract analysis experience with focus on services procurement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
