Mining Company in Calgary Seeking Contract Specialist for a 6-12 Month Contract

A large and reputable Canadian company in the oil and gas industry is seeking to hire a contract analyst for a 6-month contract.

Your new role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract analysis within the mining, oil, or gas industry. This is a full-time, 6-month contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance and business needs. As a Contract Analyst, you will play a critical role in reviewing, analyzing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance and optimize contract performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities within contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, procurement, and finance, to provide contract-related insights and support.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation and records.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist in the negotiation and drafting of contract amendments and renewals.
  • Provide guidance and support on contract-related issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on contract status and performance metrics.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 3 years of contract experience within the mining, oil, or gas industry.
  • Contract analysis experience with focus on services procurement
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
