High Rise Project Manager role, $125M+ project in central Ottawa!

Our client, a leading player in the real estate development and construction industry, is experiencing significant growth. They are a well recognized-named brand that emphasizes quality in their buildings. This is among the first of many new projects in the Ottawa area for this group.


Your new role

To support this expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to manage the construction of a new 36-storey Multi Family building, construction beginning in April 2025.


This role is pivotal in managing the full spectrum of responsibilities associated with real estate development and construction projects. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Development and Construction, you will play a crucial leadership role in both supervising construction projects and managing the initial phases of development.

Working on site daily, you will plan, establish, and organize schedules and budgets. You will utilize solid foundations in cost estimation using comparative methods. In addition, you will prepare and manage tenders, negotiate subcontractor contracts and provide direction to various collaborators.
Additionally, you will coordinate resources and stakeholders and ensure project schedules are met, as well as maintain quality control of operations. Reporting regularly to the Vice-President of Development and Construction, you will ensure full implementation of the project(s)

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must be fluently bilingual in French and English, have a strong knowledge of the local Ottawa construction market - trades and other professionals. Your post-secondary education should be in either engineering or architecture, or an equivalent combination, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate construction projects (residential, office buildings, shopping centres, etc.)

You must have strong technical knowledge of construction methods, have excellent skills in turnkey project development and the ability to provide impeccable progress and cost reports to various stakeholders. LEED certification is a plus.
