IBM Hybrid SAP RAR Functional Consultant Lead Scarborough One Day Per Week Quick Contract

  • 4 days Remote, 1 day in Scarborough (NOT REMOTE)
  • Contract: Feb 24 – April 11, 2025, with possible extension

Your new role

As the SAP RAR Lead Functional Consultant, you will spearhead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solutions. This is to ensure alignment with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for RAR solution design, integration strategy, business process mapping, and stakeholder alignment. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP RAR, robust integration knowledge with SAP SD, FI, and BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management), and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver a reliable revenue recognition solution.

What you'll need to succeed

8+ years of SAP Finance experience with 3+ years specifically in SAP RAR
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
  • Expertise in RAR configuration, contract management, revenue allocation, and cost recognition
  • Hands-on experience with RAR integration into SD, FI, and BRIM
  • Strong knowledge of RAR event types, performance obligations, SSP (Selling Standalone Price), and contract modification handling
  • Experience in full lifecycle SAP RAR implementations, including blueprinting, design, testing, and go-live
  • Proficiency in defining WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) requirements and collaborating with ABAP developers for custom enhancements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead workshops and influence business decisions
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Capable of working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
Preferred Skills
SAP S/4 HANA experience (RAR is S/4 1909 or higher preferred).
  • Experience in SAP BRIM
  • SAP Fiori or SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) knowledge for RAR reporting.
  • Prior experience in automotive, subscription-based, or warranty businesses.
